Nandita is also cute, though i wondered how such a strong amgeekan could come under family pressure. Akhil Arora, a young, dorky engineer in Delhi, cant wait to get away from home and prove to his folks that he can be on his own. Then the book also speaks about the Indian community in the campus and how they help out the new joinees, one cannot but appreciate the likes of Dilpreet, Ruksh and Sundar who go out of their way to help the new lads.

Glad that I stumbled upon this blog…lots of interesting stuff that I can personally relate to. While Akhil is fiercely patriotic and hopes to come back to India in a few years, J Plot from the jacket: He too like Akhil, wishes to live the American dream. It reveals how he and his other FOB fresh off the boat mates survive in the land where a small cup of coffee comes for rupees but furniture is free.
